Surrounded by agricultural land near the suburbs, the warehouse for an agronomist consists of a laboratory integrated to its warehouse area and a small apartment.
The typology is a common one for its use, using materials and ordinary characteristics of an agricultural warehouse. Here the researcher’s task allows the flexibility of the workspace, enabling a multipurpose room attached to the service area, which is identical to the one contained in the small apartment. Here, the service area becomes an independent architectural element, which provides domestic use from the pure shell of an industrial metallic enclosure.
The arrangement of the structure accentuates its proportions, following a continuous rhythm that is reflected in its appearance, which due to the remoteness of the urban area and its temporal use, enables a complete closure to the outside when it is empty and at the same time through sliding doors permits an immediate connection with the surrounding nature of the property.
